This week we received congratulations from TWIA to mark The Piano Singer making it through to the Regional Finals of The Wedding Industry Awards 2020.
It’s the first time that The Piano Singer has taken part in an awards entry since it was established in 2016/17 (although James Junior himself is an award winning solo artist). It seemed like the right time to enter The Piano Singer. With a fast incline in inquiries and bookings from wedding planners, brides and grooms, and an abundance of positive client feedback, entering the business for an award seemed like a good idea.
We didn’t want to take part in just any awards process however, the reason that we were drawn to TWIA, is that it prides itself on a rigorous and transparent voting system. The votes that we received from clients (which include a number of questions on professionalism, sound, preparation, performance and satisfaction) can ONLY be cast by either the bride or groom themselves!
Best Solo Musician/ Duo or String Quartet in the East of England is the category that The Piano Singer has been shortlisted within, and with the awards ceremony taking place this November, we hope to update you on further progress later this month (fingers crossed)!
The most valuable part of entering for us, is that at the end of the process we will be given all of the privately entered feedback from brides and grooms for weddings that we have provided the music for throughout 2019.
More than 60% of newlyweds that hired The Piano Singer last year kindly took time out to vote for us in The Wedding Industry Awards, and receiving their thoughts on how things went will be invaluable in shaping the business, and ensuring that we continue to provide THE BEST ceremony and drinks reception musical experience for couples.
